Considerable debate surrounds the M6 / M3 foundation licences. There there are complaints that poor operating procedures have become commonplace as a result of it now being far too easy to obtain an amateur radio licence. It's no wonder when people fool about on the air. Like this fellow who claims to have got his licence from a cornflake packet!

to get a ham radio these days is easy, just of mates, second hand shops, even ebay, its all there for the taking,i refuse to use dy,why should i go on there when theres plenty of other places to go?ham radio goes further than dy,err anybody heard of hf?with the world at your side then why stick with abuse all the time,im now enjoying good chat,no abuse, world wide contacts, and all because i decided to leave dy and look at different ways of communicating, come on you lot,it isnt the end of the world is it,just the end of abuse.
